LayerForge is a marketplace connecting people who need 3D-printed parts with skilled makers who own printers. Post an order, receive offers, and track your order from acceptance to delivery — all in one place.
For Customers
Create an order
Describe the part you need, choose a material, and upload your STL file or reference images. Set a deadline — free and takes just a few minutes.
Review offers
Skilled makers review your order and submit offers. Compare price, delivery time, and maker profile with reviews.
Accept offer & pay
Choose the best offer and pay securely via Stripe (maker price + transparent service fee). Your funds are held in escrow — the maker only receives payment after your confirmation.
Communicate & track
Message the maker directly in the app. You'll be notified as soon as the maker marks the delivery.
Confirm delivery
Confirm receipt within 14 days. Payment is automatically released to the maker. If there's a problem: open a dispute.
For Makers
Already a Customer? You can activate Maker mode from your Profile page — no new account required.
Browse open orders
Browse a live feed of orders. Filter by material, location, or category to find matching projects.
Submit an offer
Send an offer with price, delivery time, and a personal message. Only the customer whose order you bid on sees your offer.
Chat with the customer
Use the in-app messenger to discuss details and clarify specifications.
Print & deliver
Produce the part and mark the order as delivered. The customer is notified automatically.
Receive payment
The customer confirms receipt → you receive 100% of your price immediately. The buyer pays your price plus a transparent service fee. No confirmation after 14 days → automatic payout.
